Dr. Olufemi Ogunseinde is the Chief Investment Officer of Nigeria's Ministry of Finance Incorporated
(MOFI) and a member of the firm's Board of Directors, serving as the Executive Director. As Chief
Investment Officer for MOFI, Femi is responsible for shaping and executing the investment strategy
of the firm, managing risk, staying compliant with regulations, and leading a team of portfolio
managers, risk managers, platform architects, market structure developers and product operating
model designers to achieve the firm's financial objectives.
Prior to joining MOFI, Dr. Ogunseinde served as a visionary executive driving transformation and
value creation in the energy industry for more than two decades. He served as Executive Director in
Schlumberger Sub Sahara Africa, where he managed the Schlumberger Data and Consulting Services
business unit for Sub Sahara Africa and worked on several landmark multi-million-dollar oil and gas
exploration and development projects across major continents including Europe, Africa, North and
South America (USA), in connection with the leading Oil Majors.
He also served on the Board of various companies, providing business development and advisory
services across various key economic sectors including energy, agriculture, entertainment, and
services. Dr. Ogunseinde earned a bachelor's degree in civil & Structural Engineering from University
College, London, and an MBA from the Wharton Business School, University of Pennsylvania in
Philadelphia, USA majoring in Corporate Finance and Entrepreneurial Management.
He also holds a certificate of distinction in the ULEAD program from INSEAD Business School and has
received an honorary doctorate degree in International Finance and Community Development from
ESAE University, Benin Republic.
