Engr Bayode Boluwaji is an accomplished professional who has been involved at various times in the design, construction and maintenance of Engineering structures. He was in the private sector until 2001 when he was appointed Aerodrome Engineer I in the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA), later he was seconded to the Federal Ministry of Aviation where he rose to become the Acting Director (Aerodromes).
This thoroughbred aviator’s understanding of the dynamics of the industry and commitment earned him the position of the Chief of staff to the Honourable Minister of Aviation during the course of his stay at the Ministry.

Engr. Bayode served in many technical committees, carried out numerous audits, involved in Aerodrome certification as well as formulation and implementation of Aviation technical policies. He is a Fellow of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE), member American Society of Civil Engineers and a registered Engineer, Council of Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN).
He is a well-trained Aviation official with multifaceted skills. He has acquired pragmatic knowledge in Engineering, Safety Management Systems, pavement evaluation, Accident investigation, certification, audit techniques etc. from notable schools within Nigeria and overseas. These institutions include Nigeria College of Aviation Technology, Zaria, Cranfield University, United Kingdom, Mike Monroney.Aeronautical Institute Oklahoma, USA, Kenya College of Geoinformatics and Survey Nairobi, Singapore Aviation Academy, Korea Airport Academy, among others.
In his role as General Manager Aerodrome Standards, his goal is to ensure that standards and recommended practices are proactively complied with; such that safety is enhanced and the nations’ airports operates within the confines of global best practices.

This multidisciplinary professional, a rare combination of technical and legal skills holds B.Eng. (Hons) degree in Civil Engineering, Masters degree in Civil Engineering, Post graduate certificate in Aerodrome Engineering from the Nigeria College of Aviation Technology, Bachelor of Laws LL.B (Hons) and Masters of Laws degree (LLM). He is happily married and blessed with children.
