Engr. Isaac David Balami is a distinguished Nigerian aviation engineer, entrepreneur, and reformer dedicated to advancing Africa’s aviation industry. Rising from humble beginnings, he turned his passion for aviation into purpose, becoming one of Nigeria’s most recognized aviation figures. A certified aircraft maintenance engineer and former National President of the National Association of Aircraft Pilots and Engineers (NAAPE), he led transformative reforms that elevated the visibility and welfare of aviation professionals nationwide. He is the Founder of Isaac Balami University of Aeronautics and Management (IBUAM), Africa’s first privately owned Aeronautics University, designed to produce globally competent aviators and managers. At IBUAM, every student graduates with a university degree, an Aircraft Piloting License, and over 1,000 hours of annual live aircraft experience using advanced simulation technologies from Boeing, Lockheed, and Rolls-Royce.

Engr. Balami also leads the 7Star Global Group, owners of the private Approved Maintenance Organization (AMO) facility with the largest operational specification in West and Central Africa. Academically, he holds a Master’s in Fraud and Risk Management from the University of Salford, UK, and qualifications in Aviation Management and Aircraft Maintenance Engineering, with his ongoing doctoral program in California. Through the Isaac Balami Foundation and the Nigeria Rebirth Foundation, he continues to empower youth, promote leadership, and champion national transformation.
